Lenovo mobile phone appearance patent exposure: reverse "bangs" design

Lenovo has applied to the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) for a mobile phone patent that shows a reverse bangs design on a smartphone to accommodate a self-portrait camera to achieve a true full screen.

It can be seen from the patent picture that a piece will protrude from the upper left corner or upper right corner of the phone, which looks slightly abrupt. Although the appearance is a bit strange, this solution has an advantage over the design of the pop-up module, that is, the durability and waterproofness are better.
The sketch shows what reverse bangs look like on different types of smartphones, including Moto Z phones that look like Moto Mods. This may indicate that the next Moto Z phone-most likely called Moto Z5, may adopt a reverse bang design.
Of course, IT House believes that as a patent, Lenovo may never launch a mobile phone with such a design.
